THE VILLAGE

The Village is a festival located in Spain. This year, Travelbase changed the concept to "The Surf Festival" , for further information make sure you visit their website (link below). The concept has changed, yet the experience stays!

The idea behind the festival was to have the people of the village feel like they were on a French-Polynesian holiday. Each campsite had their own sigil, based on the four elements of nature: water (Tahiti), fire (Bora Bora), earth (Fiji) and air (Puka Puka). These tribes would come together, gathering under one flag, to enjoy the sounds of various artists and DJs.

I designed the tribe sigils, as well as the branding & POS-materials for the festival. All these items were inspired by the original tribes of the French-Polynesian islands. The colourful atmosphere was something different and out of my comfort zone at the beginning, but this only allowed me to grow as a designer till all the pieces came together.
